This tutorial shows how you can use fbs to create a simple python GUI and an associated installer:

You can follow this tutorial on windows, mac or linux. Only python 3.5 or 3.6 will work. Other versions will likely give errors.

Desktop applications are normally distributed by means of an installer. On windows, this would be an executable called tutorialsetup.Exe . On mac, mountable disk images such as tutorial.Dmg are commonly used. On linux, .Deb files are common on ubuntu, .Rpm on fedora / centos, and .Pkg.Tar.Xz on arch.

Depending on your operating system, this may require you to first install some tools. Please read on for OS-specific instructions.

Before you can use the installer command on windows, please install NSIS and add its installation directory to your PATH environment variable.

The installer is created at target/tutorialsetup.Exe . It lets your users pick the installation directory and adds your app to the start menu. It also creates an entry in windows' list of installed programs. Your users can use this to uninstall your app. The following screenshots show these steps in action:

On mac, the installer command generates the file target/tutorial.Dmg . When your users open it, they see the following volume:

To install your app, your users simply drag its icon to the applications folder (also shown in the volume).

On linux, the installer command requires that you have fpm. You can for instance follow these instructions to install it.

Depending on your linux distribution, fbs creates the installer at target/tutorial.Deb , . Pkg.Tar.Xz or . Rpm . Your users can use these files to install your app with their respective package manager.

A more interesting example

We will now create a more powerful example. Here's what it looks like on windows:

Once you have followed these steps, you can do fbs run (or fbs freeze etc.) as before.

You can see that it uses the requests library we just installed above. Feel free to open build-system.Fman.Io/quote in the browser to get a feel for what it returns. Its data comes from a public database.

The app follows the same basic steps as before. It instantiates an application context and ends by calling appctxt.App.Exec_() :

What's different is what happens in between:

The first line uses get_resource(. ) to obtain the path to styles.Qss . This is a QSS file, qt's equivalent to CSS. The next line reads its contents and sets them as the stylesheet of the application context's .App .

Fbs ensures that get_resource(. ) works both when running from source (i.E. During fbs run ) and when running the compiled form of your app. In the former case, the returned path is in src/main/resources . In the latter, it will be in your app's installation directory. Fbs handles the corresponding details transparently.

The next-to-last line instantiates mainwindow . This new class sets up the text field for the quote and the button. When the button is clicked, it changes the contents of the text field using _get_quote() above. You can find the full code in main.Py .

As already mentioned, you can use fbs run to run the new app. But here's what's really cool: you can also do fbs freeze and fbs installer to distribute it to other computers. Fbs includes the requests dependency and the styles.Qss file automatically.

Fbs lets you use python and qt to create desktop applications for windows, mac and linux. It can create installers for your app, and automatically handles the packaging of third-party libraries and data files. These things normally take weeks to figure out. Fbs gives them to you in minutes instead.

If you have not used pyqt before: it's the library that allowed us in the above examples to use qt (a GUI framework) from python. Fbs's contribution is not to combine python and qt. What do my FBS test results mean?

If you’ve been given an FBS blood test, then any result which is between 77-99 mg/dl is considered to be a normal fasting glucose level. Some laboratories may report test results in mmol/L instead of mg/dl, so a normal result in that measurement would be 3.9-5.5.

For individuals who have a fasting glucose level of 100-125 mg/dl or 5.6-6.9 mmol/L, then this is generally considered to be evidence of prediabetes. In addition to simon stating the amount he wants to pay, he also provides mike’s sort code and account number – this is the information used to address the payment. Simon also enters the name of the account he wants to send the payment to, which will appear on his statement along with any reference details so that mike knows what the payment is for.

Before simon’s bank allows the payment to be made, it will check that simon’s account has sufficient funds and that the request to make a payment is genuine. In certain cases, the bank may need to hold the payment to undertake further checks to protect simon.

Simon’s bank sends the transaction through the faster payments service. From this stage onwards, simon is committed to making the payment.

The faster payments service sends the payment instruction to mike’s bank (the ‘receiving bank’) after checking that all the relevant details are included and properly formatted.

Once mike’s bank has received the instruction, it checks that the account number is valid (note, it does not verify that the account name and number match), and then sends a message back to the faster payments service that it has accepted (or rejected) the payment.

The faster payments service credits the receiving bank with the funds and sends a message to the sending bank to let them know that the transaction has been made successfully.

Simon’s bank marks the transaction as complete. Each sending bank will decide how this confirmation will be made available to its own customer. In all cases, once the payment has been made, a confirmation message will always be sent between banks.

Where mike’s account is with a faster payment participant bank, he should generally be able to see the credit on his account within seconds and also be able to access the funds. If mike’s account is with a non-participant of the scheme, then it may take longer for funds to be shown on his account.

Note: the maximum value threshold for individual payments that can be processed through faster payments is currently £250,000 however individual banks and building societies set their own value limits for their personal and corporate customers. In the call of duty black ops 2 engine (iwengine 3, which is a highly modified quake3 engine), almost everything you do, and the rate at which you do it, is based on your FPS (frames per second)(it's not like this in most games). *the higher your FPS is, the faster you:

Fire your gun

Reload

Jump

ADS (aim down sights)

And many other things.

This means that, theoretically, if you have a better computer, you should ultimately do better in black ops 2. So in order to do better in your games, you need a higher FPS.

In order to get the highest FPS, and in turn, play better, you should:
1. Disable sync every frame and set max frames per second to unlimited, both can be found in advanced settings, a bit over halfway down the page.

2. Enable draw FPS, which can be found below max frames per second. This is in order to test which settings give you maximum FPS but still look good. The FPS you should aim to stay on is 200. This is because in public matches, the game sets its own 200 FPS max, even if max frames per second is set to unlimited. (note, you will have to enter a game in order to test it as this barely affects the FPS in lobbies and menus

3. Fiddle around with your settings, one of the easiest ways to increase FPS is to reduce your resolution. Just keep fiddling until you hit, or get near 200 continuously, then try playing for a while. If there isn't anything you can do to acheive these FPS's then it is likely that your PC is in need of an upgrade. I recently bought a GTX 670, and since i've had it, i've been capping 200 FPS every game, and my K:D is about 3:1 every game (it's worth noting that my stats are about 0.6 KD, but that's because I used to be sh*t at this game)

-screen resolution - 800x600
-field of view - 65
-shadows - off
-ragdoll - off
-texture quality - low
-texture filtering - low

-ambient occlusion - off
-depth of field - low
-sync every frame - no
-max frames per second - unlimited
-draw FPS - yes
-if you are running a laptop make sure it's on high performance (in battery options)
**if nothing is working and your computer is running windows 7 and it needs a speed boost, try this:
1. Go into my computer; press the windows button on your keyboard + E
2. Near the top left click system properties
3. On the left panel, click advanced system settings
4. Select the tab labeled advanced, then under the heading performance, click settings
5. Select adjust for best performance
6. Press apply and wait until the screen finishes applying settings.
7. Exit all the menues and your done (i did say "if you are worried about how everything looks these settings are not advised")

This guide is for the PC only, the console versions of blops2 tend not to have this problem.
Also, it is worth noting that an FPS above your refresh rate will not be seen. However, the game engine will still include them.

*note, it is unconfirmed whether or not this works in campaign or zombies, however it is likely that it does as it runs on the same game engine

**this trick can be used on almost any windows 7 computer to speed it up, you don't even need to be an admin to use it.
